A weirdly perfect Wednesday with a full book of 'problem skin' clients
Last Wednesday was one of those days that just clicked. My book was full, which is normal, but every single person who came in was dealing with some kind of reactive or sensitive skin situation. I had a client with perioral dermatitis, two with maskne flare-ups, one with a bad reaction to a new retinol, and a teen with cystic acne. Instead of feeling stressed, it felt like a master class in calming things down. I used the same basic approach for each one: a milky cleanser, a cool compress, a super simple honey and oat mask I mix fresh, and a lot of talking about barrier repair. By the end of the day, I was exhausted but weirdly happy. Seeing that immediate reduction in redness and having clients feel heard made it stand out. Has anyone else had a day where a specific skin issue type just dominated your schedule?
