Vent: That one Tuesday last month where everything went wrong in my treatment room

I had a client named Karen show up 20 minutes late for her hydrafacial, then complained that I couldn't finish the whole service. Right after that, my steamer broke mid-extraction on a cystic acne client and I had to finish with hot towels. The disinfectant spray ran out during turnover and maintenance didn't restock until Friday. Has anyone else had a day where your equipment just decides to betray you at the worst possible moment?

Came in after a shift just like that last month. Had my ultrasound cavitation wand die right in the middle of a stubborn fat treatment, had to finish the whole thing manually. Then the hydrafacial handpiece started sputtering like it was having a seizure. Felt like every machine in the room was plotting against me, especially since I had three more clients waiting.

You ever get that sinking feeling when you hear a machine start making a weird noise and you know exactly what's coming next? Oh man, @grant_hart, I feel your pain with the cavitation wand dying mid-treatment - had to switch to manual massage once when mine gave out on a stubborn lower belly. That hydrafacial sputtering thing is usually a clogged filter or air in the line (I've learned to keep a spare on hand after it happened to me twice in one week). Quick tip for next time: if a machine starts acting up, grab your backup unit and a good playlist for the clients waiting, it keeps everyone calm while you troubleshoot. It's rough when you're in the zone and the gear decides to rebel, but at least you finished the treatment manually - that's the kind of hustle that keeps clients coming back.
