Shoutout to the wall for saving my handstand attempt

Tbh, I was adding handstands to my yoga flow and kept falling on my face. I fixed it by practicing my kick-up against the wall first to get the feel. How do you guys transition out of handstands without losing your flow?

Totally, tucking my head to roll out helps.

Remember when I sprained my wrist rolling on grass?

Yeah, tucking your head to roll out can work, but it's easy to mess up and hurt your neck or wrists. I've seen friends land wrong and end up with strains, similar to @wilson.christopher's wrist issue. For getting out of a handstand, I find it safer to focus on lowering one leg at a time to keep your balance. That way, you control the descent and don't rely on a roll that might go sideways. Practicing against the wall like you did helps, but also try coming down slowly without the wall to build that control. It keeps the flow smooth because you're not crashing out, and you avoid sudden impacts on your joints.
