Ngl, the recent surge in solo debuts feels way too rushed.

Tbh, it's hurting the music quality more than helping.

Honestly seen this happen with rushed projects at work too. When you skip the testing phase to hit a deadline, everything falls apart later. More time in the studio usually means stronger tracks that actually stick around.

Beatles' first album took a day. It's still famous, so maybe rushing isn't that bad.

Yeah, that Beatles example from @margaret_stone is interesting, but it feels like a crazy exception. Reminds me of my friend who tried to paint a whole mural in one weekend for a festival. It looked okay from a distance, but up close the colors were muddy and it started peeling in a month. The next year she took three weeks on a smaller piece, and that thing still looks perfect. Sometimes that first burst works, but usually you just see the cracks later.
