My pasta experiment showed me salting the water is overrated

I left out the salt last time and the dish was still totally fine, lmao.

Yeah I skipped it last week when I ran out of kosher salt. Made a really garlic-heavy arrabiata sauce and honestly couldn't tell the pasta itself was bland. The sauce just took over completely.

Dude I was totally in the same boat, I used to think it was a hard rule you couldn't skip. Then I tried it once on accident and the pasta was honestly still good. Yeah, you can tell a slight difference side by side, but if your sauce is flavorful it really does not matter that much. You're right, it's totally fine to skip it lol. Fair point, changed my mind too.
