My barista in Chicago said oat milk is 'basic' now

He claimed the real move is pistachio or macadamia. Is that a thing, or is he just trying to sound cool?

He's just trying to justify the upcharge, which is a move I respect as a business owner. I'm still basic enough to think oat milk tastes good though.

The pistachio thing is real, but oat milk still outsells it by a huge margin. He's just trying to justify the upcharge.
