Just realized how much food we waste by not using veggie scraps for stock.
Making stock from scraps cuts down waste and tastes amazing!

It's part of that whole shift from just buying new stuff to actually using what you have. I've been trying to fix things before I replace them, and it's the same kind of idea. Those small habits really do add up over time.

Watched my buddy fix his old coffee grinder last week instead of buying a new one. He spent an hour taking it apart, found a tiny piece of plastic had cracked. He glued it back together and it works perfectly now. He said the best part wasn't saving the money, it was the feeling of beating the system a little. That's the exact shift you're talking about, where the win is in using the thing until it's truly done. It changes how you see everything you own.

Totally agree with you and keith426 about the small habits adding up. I keep a bag in my freezer for onion skins and carrot ends. It feels good to get that extra use out of stuff.
