Vent: I chose a gas station burrito over a fancy brunch spot in Austin
My friends wanted to wait an hour for avocado toast at some trendy place on South Congress. I ducked into a Valero station and grabbed a $4.99 chorizo and egg burrito instead. It was hot, greasy, and honestly better than any $18 plate I've had there. Does anyone else think we overhype sit-down breakfast places?

Honestly, that's the move right there. You skip the wait and the bill, and you still get a hot meal that actually fills you up. What's your go-to gas station for a quick breakfast?

Yeah I grabbed one of those sausage biscuits from the gas pump last Tuesday... still warm and everything. It was way better than I thought it would be.

Oh man, you are so right. I did the same thing last week with a convenience store breakfast sandwich. It hit the spot perfectly and I was out the door in two minutes. Sometimes the simple stuff is just better.
