Tried a new way to mix my clay masks and the results were way different
I've always mixed my kaolin clay masks with plain water, but a client in Austin suggested trying aloe vera juice instead. I tested it on two halves of my own face for a week, mixing each batch with exactly 2 ounces of liquid. The side with aloe vera juice stayed moist longer, didn't crack, and washed off much easier. Has anyone else tried swapping out the mixing liquid for something else?

Switched to rosewater once and it made my skin feel less tight.

My skin would probably stage a full revolt if I tried rosewater. I once used a fancy lavender toner that made my face feel like it was wrapped in plastic wrap. Plain water sounds like the safest bet for fussy skin.

Rosewater sounds nice but I'm always worried about scents messing with my skin. My face gets picky about anything with a strong smell, even natural stuff. I just stick to plain water in a spray bottle now.
