Stuck with a client who had milia for 6 months before I figured it out
I had this one client coming in every 6 weeks for extractions and her milia kept coming back in the same spots around her eyes. I tried different products, changed my extraction technique, nothing worked for like half a year. Then she mentioned she started using a heavy eye cream with shea butter right before I started seeing her. I told her to switch to a gel-based eye cream and after 2 follow-ups those bumps finally cleared up. Has anyone else had a client where the issue was totally caused by their home routine?

Did you ever figure out what ingredient was doing it... I swear shea butter is the culprit in half my stubborn milia cases? Sometimes it's just a matter of playing detective with their home routine instead of blaming ourselves. Good catch on your part though, those eye milia can be such a pain to move.

@karen_perry38 the shea butter thing is real wow. i had a client last month who was using this thick balm with shea as the second ingredient and those bumps just wouldnt budge until she switched to something lighter. do you find it matters more with cold processed vs refined shea or is it basically all the same for clogging?
