Can we talk about that client who showed me my own bad habit?

Had a regular last Tuesday who asked me why I always start her facial with the same pressure on the left side. She was right, I was rushing through the first few minutes without evening out my touch. Has anyone else had a client call them out on something small that totally shifted how you work?

Honestly, is it really that deep though? Like, you've probably done hundreds of facials exactly the same way and nobody noticed. She just happened to be super observant or maybe she's one of those clients who overanalyzes everything. I've had people tell me my room temperature was off by two degrees and I just nod and smile. Yeah, maybe it's a tiny habit, but it's not like you were hurting her or doing the whole thing wrong. Seems like a small thing to completely shift your whole approach over.

Hold on though, how do you know the other clients didn't notice? Most people are too polite or uncomfortable to call out a small tweak in technique, so she might have just been the first one brave enough to say something.

Doesn't sound like she was being brave, sounds like she was just being picky. Are you really gonna build your whole routine around one person's opinion on a single tiny movement?
