Update: My perfect work day in Medellin got ruined by a single power cut
I had a huge client report due at 5 PM local time, and my backup battery died after 20 minutes. The cafe I ran to had no outlets free, and the public library's Wi-Fi was down. I ended up submitting the file from my phone's hotspot on a park bench as my laptop hit 3% battery. What's your go-to plan when the power goes out in a new city?

Always scout a cafe with backup generators first.

Seriously, I saw a whole article about cafes buying generators after last winter's blackouts.

That park bench submission sounds stressful. Do you keep a list of backup spots now, or just wing it each time?
