You said "thought it was a total scam until I worked from a hostel for a week" - that's a pretty big flip. What was the main thing that actually changed your mind? Like was it the people you met, or the setup actually being decent for getting stuff done?

You said "was it the people you met" and honestly that is exactly what changed everything for my friend. He was skeptical about coworking but ended up sharing a table with a graphic designer from Brazil and a coder from Estonia in the hostel common area. They started sharing tips on where to find good coffee and cheap lunch spots, and by day three they were workshopping each other's projects. He told me the networking was way more natural than those forced coworking mixer events where everyone is just handing out business cards. The hostel had solid WiFi and power outlets everywhere too, which helped. That mix of accidental community plus decent amenities is what finally won him over.
