Shoutout to the guy in Lisbon who convinced me to try a local SIM card
I was totally against buying a local SIM in every new country, thinking my international plan was fine. Then I met a guy at a cafe in Lisbon who showed me his bill for a month of unlimited data, it was only 15 euros. I tried it and my hotspot speed went from barely loading email to handling video calls without a single drop. That was six months ago and I've done it in every country since. What other small switch made a huge difference for your setup?

Oh man, that reminds me of when I finally gave up on my old laptop bag. It was this fancy leather thing that looked cool but was so heavy and awkward to carry. I switched to a simple, lightweight backpack with a separate padded sleeve for the laptop, and my shoulders thanked me instantly. It sounds dumb, but not having that extra weight and bulk made moving through airports or just walking to a coffee shop way less of a hassle. That one change just made the whole travel feel easier.

Right? The whole "looks cool but feels awful" trap is so real. Why do we put up with that stuff for so long? My old messenger bag used to dig into my shoulder so bad. Switched to a basic canvas backpack and it was like, oh, this is what comfort feels like. We really do overcomplicate the simple things sometimes.

Fancy leather thing that looked cool" is my whole life. I finally swapped mine for a cheap crossbody bag and felt like an idiot for not doing it sooner.
