Rented a studio in Chiang Mai, ended up working from a laundry mat for a week
Landed in Chiang Mai last month and booked this cheap studio that looked fine in photos. Turned out the AC sounded like a lawnmower and the wifi died every 20 minutes, so I packed my laptop and found a quiet laundromat with a bench. Paid $2 for a wash cycle I didn't need just to sit there for 5 hours and finish a client report. Has anyone else ended up working from a totally random spot because their 'perfect' setup fell apart?

Oh totally. Once did a deadline from a bus station floor in Bali. WiFi was GOLD there.
