Regret buying that fancy co-working space membership
Spent $300 on a month at WeWork in Bali. Worse Wi-Fi than the local warung. Anyone else ditching overpriced spaces?

Dumped $250 on a spot in Ubud that claimed "pro-grade internet." Could barely load a YouTube video without buffering. Had to work from a damn laundromat cafe down the street for free. The whole place was full of influencers filming Instagram reels instead of actually working. Co-working spaces are just expensive hostels with bad coffee now. Never again.

Oh man, the laundromat cafe move hits too close to home lmao. I did the same thing in Chiang Mai last year - paid $200 for a "digital nomad hub" and the wifi was literally slower than the 7-Eleven down the road. The place was packed with people doing TikTok dances in the "silent zone." Now I just work from random noodle shops where the internet is actually free and the coffee is like $1. Seriously, these co-working spots are a total scam for anyone who actually needs to get work done.

The pro-grade internet that can't load a YouTube video" - that's honestly the story of my life too, @piper_burns. I spent $180 on a place in Lisbon that bragged about fiber optic, and I ended up hotspotting from my phone just to send an email. The whole silent zone was just people on Zoom calls yelling into their headsets anyway.
