PSA: Spent $50 on a portable printer for client docs and it actually works

I was getting tired of hunting down library printers or paying hotel business center prices just to print a simple invoice or contract for a client. So last month I grabbed one of those little Bluetooth thermal printers off Amazon for about $50. Figured it would be a gimmick and I'd return it, but nope, it's been solid for small receipts and worksheets. No ink needed either, just thermal paper rolls that are like $8 for a pack of 50. Has anyone else gone full mobile office with one of these things or am I just weird for wanting to print stuff on the road?

Used to think portable printers were just a waste of space and money. Saw a buddy pull one out at a job site once and figured it was just a toy. Then I grabbed a similar cheap thermal one on a whim a few months ago. Changed my mind completely. Stuck it in my glovebox and now I can print a quick receipt or checklist without hunting down a Staples. Thermal paper is cheap enough that I don't worry about wasting a sheet.

Gotta admit I was in the same boat - figured these things were just another gadget that'd collect dust in a drawer. But after grabbing one for a road trip last month I was surprised how often I actually pulled it out for quick receipts and notes. Your mileage may vary but for the price it's hard to argue with something that just works when you need it.
