I chose a $600 flight to Medellin over a stable job offer in Omaha
The offer was solid, but the idea of another year in a cubicle made me feel sick. I booked the ticket, got a cheap place in Laureles, and started taking on freelance writing jobs. Has anyone else made a big jump like that and found the work just... showed up?

Man, it's wild how often the safe choice feels like the wrong one... I see it with friends all the time. They stay put out of fear, but the people who jump usually find a way to make it work.

Honestly, how did you get a visa to freelance there long term? Tbh I thought you needed a job offer or something for Colombia.
