Hot take: That tiny fridge in my Chiang Mai apartment just killed my meal prep vibe
I tried to save cash by cooking, but the mini fridge fits like three items. Eating street food is cheap and tasty, but I miss having home cooked meals. Yesterday my yogurt exploded from lack of space, what a mess. Do you guys stick to local eats or fight the kitchen setup?

Honestly, the yogurt explosion was probably from fermentation in the heat, not just the cramped space. Those tiny fridges in hot places work way too hard, and things spoil faster. I gave up trying to store a whole week's meals. My fix was to just shop for one or two days at a time, like buying ingredients for dinner on the way home. It's a hassle, but it beats cleaning exploded dairy or living on only street food. You have to adapt the plan to the tools, not the other way around.

Tell me yogurt didn't really explode from heat! That sounds like a science experiment gone wrong.

Doubt it's as big a deal as @evaramirez makes it sound. A little spoiled yogurt is just messy, not a disaster. Most mini fridges work fine if you don't cram them full. The real problem is people buying too much stuff at once. Just turn the cold setting up a bit and check your food.

But how many people actually have yogurt explode on them? It seems like an extreme example to make a point. Most of us just deal with warm soda and soft butter.
