Hit 30 countries last month and it really hit me different

I was sitting in a cafe in Medellin updating my spreadsheet and saw the number 30 pop up. Started thinking about how I've spent more time in airports than I did in my old apartment over 4 years. The weird thing is I still get homesick for places I only stayed a week, like that little hostel in Chiang Mai. Does anyone else track this stuff and get weirdly emotional about random numbers?

Man, that spreadsheet habit hits close to home. I've got a running list of every hostel bed I've slept in and I still get a little pang when I see the name of that place in Granada where the owner made us breakfast at 5am before our bus. Numbers don't mean much to other people but they carry all the weight for us, you know?

@grant_hart that spreadsheet thing is so real, my buddy Mike had one too and he still talks about this random bakery in Budapest where he ate the best strudel of his life like it was a breakup. He said he hit 20 countries and just sat on a park bench in Lisbon crying for no reason, just overwhelmed by the numbers and the memories all stacking up. Its wild how a simple number like 30 can make you feel both light and heavy at the same time. I get it with the homesick thing for places you barely knew, that hostel in Chiang Mai must have left a mark.
