So my automated email reply went to the wrong list of 500 people...
Last month, I set up a welcome sequence for new subscribers but accidentally attached it to our dormant customer segment from three years ago. Has anyone else had a platform glitch cause a major audience mix-up?

Oh man, I used to think those automation mix-ups were just user error. But after something similar happened to my team last year, I totally get how a platform can just glitch out.

You said it was a platform glitch. What exactly did the support team say when you reported it? Did they admit it was on their end, or did they try to blame it on your setup? I've seen companies do both.

Honestly, what did the welcome email actually say? I'd be stressed about the content going to old customers.
