Read a blog from a competitor that made me rethink my whole approach on email timing
I always sent our weekly newsletter on Tuesday mornings and thought that was the best time. Then I read a case study from a company in the same niche who tested Saturday afternoons and saw open rates jump 22%. Has anyone else found that unconventional send times actually work better for your audience?

A lot of people obsess over day of week but ignore device type. Your Tuesday morning emails might get opened on desktop at work while Saturday afternoons catch people on their phones where inbox habits are totally different.

Hold on a second, that 22% jump is a solid number but don't take it as gospel for your own list. A case study from one company in your niche doesn't mean their exact timing will work for you. Their audience might be night owls or people in a different time zone. You should test Saturday afternoon on your own list for a month and compare open rates to your Tuesday mornings before you make a change. That way you're working with your own data, not just copying someone else's win.
