I finally stopped running Facebook ads because of one dumb mistake
I put $500 into a campaign targeting women 25-45 in Chicago, but I forgot to exclude people who already bought from us. Wasted 3 days and got zero conversions. Has anyone else fumbled a basic audience setting like that?

I gotta push back a little on calling this a "dumb mistake." In my experience, forgetting to exclude past buyers is honestly one of the easiest things to miss when you're setting up a campaign. The ad platforms bury that setting in a weird spot and it's not super obvious unless you've done it a few times. Yeah it stings to lose $500, but calling it dumb feels harsh. Stuff like this is how you learn the ropes, and I bet you'll never forget to check that box again.

Man my buddy did the same thing with a $300 budget and only realized it when his mom got a discount email!
