Hit 50k page views last month and it felt totally random

I run a small niche blog about retro game repair and just crossed 50k views in a month for the first time. The weird part is I did nothing special, just updated 3 old posts with better photos and one short video. Has anyone else seen a big jump like that without any real promo, or am I reading the analytics wrong?
