That one awful Tuesday last fall where everything went wrong and then somehow got great

I spilled coffee on my keyboard, got a rejection email for a story I'd been rewriting for months, and then found a random writing prompt on this very forum that sparked a whole new idea I finished in 3 hours. What was the weirdest twist in a day that flipped your writing mood completely?

That coffee spill really stings on top of a rejection, totally been there with the double whammy of a bad day. It's wild how one little prompt can completely flip the switch and make you forget everything else. Your mileage may vary but those moments of creative lightning strike when you least expect them.

For me it was a random song lyric that snapped me out of it. I was having one of those days where everything felt pointless, then I heard this line about getting back up and it just clicked. Now when I'm stuck I throw on a playlist instead of forcing it.
