Guy at my Tuesday writing group read his grocery list out loud as a prompt and it killed
Last Tuesday at the library in Tacoma, this older dude named Ray pulled a crumpled receipt out of his jacket and read it like poetry: "2 percent milk, one dozen eggs, batteries, batteries, batteries." Our whole table of six lost it, and then people wrote some of the best scenes we've had in a while off that stupid little list. Got me wondering what random scrap of paper or oddball line you all have pulled a prompt from lately?
