I was digging into old circus history for a prompt and learned that in 1903, a famous lion tamer's contract specifically banned him from eating onions before a show (apparently the lions hated the smell). Has anyone else stumbled on a bizarre detail that derailed a writing project?

Seriously, they could smell onions over all the animal smells? That's a wild level of detail to put in a contract, it must have been a real problem.
