That's EXACTLY how it starts right? You think you are being SO smart with your portioned out bags of frozen veggies and pre-cooked quinoa. Then one day you are staring into the freezer like "where did all the real FOOD go" and just grab whatever looks like it has the most butter content. The mushroom pie is actually a step UP from what I ended up making which was basically just frozen peas dumped into a bowl of instant gravy. Its a slippery slope from healthy freezer prep to emergency comfort food.

and honestly jones.anna that frozen peas in gravy scenario is just the beginning. once you cross that line it's like your brain stops seeing the freezer as a place for meals and starts seeing it as a butter vault. that mushroom pie isn't even really cooking, it's just admitting defeat in the most delicious way possible. the real trick is that the pie crust counts as a vegetable because it has mushrooms in it, right? that's the logic we're working with here.
