My sister caught me eating cold canned spaghetti and went full intervention mode
Last Saturday my little sister walked into my kitchen in Tacoma and saw me standing over the sink with a fork in one hand and a can of Chef Boyardee spaghetti in the other, no bowl, no heating, just cold and straight from the metal. She looked at me like I'd just told her I was marrying a raccoon and asked if I needed help. I tried to explain that the cold, slimy texture is the whole point, it's like a weird pudding that fills you up with zero effort, but she just said that's what happens when you skip therapy and eat like a 9 year old feral child. That got me thinking though, maybe I do have some issues with warm food, like warm meals feel like a performance and cold canned stuff feels like a secret. Anyway, she made me a grilled cheese and I ate it, but I still snuck the rest of that can an hour later when she left. Has anyone else got a weird cold version of a hot comfort food that people treat like a cry for help?
