Vent: cold canned spaghetti on toast is my hill to die on
Used to heat it up like everyone else until a camping trip in Ohio last fall, now I eat it straight from the tin over buttered bread. The chill makes the sauce taste less sweet and more tangy, plus zero waiting time. Anyone else got a comfort food they refuse to serve hot?
My grandma ate cold meatloaf sandwiches for 40 years and swore the fridge made the flavors settle in a way the oven never could. There is something real to this, because hot food hits you fast and loud while cold food makes you slow down and actually taste what you're eating. Your camping trip just flipped a switch most of us never knew was there.
