The day I put ketchup on mac and cheese at a fancy dinner party
Last Saturday my buddy invited me to this upscale dinner party in Portland. Everyone was passing around truffle oil and aged gouda, real snobby stuff. I got a plate of their fancy mac and cheese, felt pretty dry, so I asked for ketchup. The hostess gave me this look like I just insulted her grandma. Honestly it hit the spot though, has anyone else ever snuck condiments into a bougie meal?

Did @murray.spencer ever ask the risotto guy if the chef was offended? The real waste might be the kitchen staff's pride, not just the money. Plates like that are their art, and dumping hot sauce on it is like someone slapping a dirty sticker on a painting.
