My wife walked in on me eating a cold can of baked beans for breakfast
This was last Tuesday morning around 7 AM in our kitchen in Raleigh. I was just standing there, spooning them straight from the can, and she looked genuinely horrified. For me, it's the perfect salty, sweet, and easy start to the day, but she says it's 'prison food.' Anyone else get this kind of grief for a simple, weird comfort meal?

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy Carl. His wife caught him eating cold spaghetti straight from the can at 7 a.m. last Tuesday. He said it was just efficient, and the look on her face was pure horror. He still swears by it.

My ex used to give me that same look over cold ravioli from the tin. The trick is to add a little black pepper right in the can, makes it feel like a real meal. She never came around, but I still do it when I'm in a hurry.
