My wife convinced me that cold pizza is actually better than reheated

For years I thought reheating leftover pizza in the oven was the only proper way to eat it. Last Tuesday my wife handed me a slice straight from the fridge at 11pm and I reluctantly took a bite. The cheese had this firm, almost creamy texture and the crust was chewy in a way I never appreciated. I still like it hot sometimes, but now I actually look forward to the cold slices the next morning. Has anyone else had a similar flip on a food they were stubborn about?

Oh honey, cold pizza is the only way in our house too.

See I gotta disagree with you there Olivia. I mean a cold slice is still pizza so it's not bad, but you lose that gooey cheese pull and the crispy edges. Give me a fresh hot slice any day of the week.

Huh, you know I used to be a hot pizza guy all the way. But @olivia_harris19 you got me thinking, that cold slice from the fridge hits different sometimes. It's got this firm crust and you can taste the toppings way better.
