My go-to comfort meal is a cold baked potato with ketchup, and my friends act like I'm a monster.
I made one after a rough day at work, and my roommate walked in and said, 'That's the saddest thing I've ever seen.' I just think the mix of cold, soft potato and sweet ketchup is perfect when you're feeling down. Does anyone else have a comfort food combo that gets you weird looks?

What exactly are they putting salt on that's making people so mad? Tbh I've seen some wild stuff lately and I need to know if we're talking fries and ice cream or something truly out there.

My grandma in Vermont always put a tiny pinch of salt on her watermelon slices. It makes the fruit taste sweeter by contrast, which is basic food science. People get weird about mixing tastes they think should stay separate, but that's how we got things like salted caramel. The judgment says more about their boring palate than the actual food.
