Ketchup on mac and cheese, my hill to die on since the 90s

Last week my brother saw me put ketchup on my mac and cheese and acted like I insulted his kids. I've done this since I was a kid in Ohio, it's just what I grew up with. The sharpness cuts through all that cheese and butter, makes it less heavy. My wife thinks it's gross but she eats mayo on fries, so her vote barely counts. He said I might as well put mustard on ice cream and I told him that's not the same thing at all. So which side are you on here, ketchup belongs on mac and cheese or is my family just broken? Has anyone else's relatives tried to shame them over a normal habit they've had for 30 years?
