I just realized my peanut butter and pickle sandwich is apparently a war crime
I've been eating them since I was a kid, my mom made them. Last week, I offered a bite to my new neighbor, and she looked at me like I'd grown a second head. She actually said, 'That's the most upsetting thing I've seen all month.' That was the moment. I guess the creamy peanut butter with the sharp dill pickle slices on soft white bread isn't for everyone, but it's my perfect salty, crunchy, cozy snack. Has anyone else had their normal comfort food get that kind of horrified reaction?

Your neighbor's reaction is kind of funny... but also a little sad. It's just a sandwich. @nathana48 has a point about people not handling weird combos. What's the most basic food you've seen someone get weird about? My old roommate would freak out if I put ketchup on my scrambled eggs, which is totally normal where I'm from. Some folks just have a really narrow list of what's okay to eat.
