Hot take: canned tuna mixed into mac and cheese is elite comfort food

I was in a motel in Bakersfield last month with no real food options. Grabbed a box of store brand mac and a can of tuna from the gas station. Mixed it all together with extra butter and it was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a while. My friend saw me eating it and said I was crazy, but the saltiness and the protein just hits different. Anyone else got a weird combo they swear by when they're stuck somewhere random?

Whoa, hold on. You ate a Mexican pizza in a motel room in Bakersfield? That's a level of trust I just don't have in that town. The mattress alone probably has seen things that would make you lose your appetite. I've driven through there once and couldn't find a gas station that didn't feel like a setup. You're lucky you walked out of that room without a new friend named "Chad" trying to sell you a timeshare.

Man, you're braver than me" - I get what you're saying, but Bakersfield gets a bad rap for no good reason. Plenty of working folks just trying to get by, and motels are what you make of them. Keep the door locked, eat your pizza, and you'll be fine.
