Hot take: Canned tuna and cottage cheese mixed together is actually great
Honestly I wasted like $12 at lunch last week trying some fancy acai bowl place near my office and it was gross. So I went home and made my weird comfort food instead. Tbh I mix a can of tuna with half a cup of cottage cheese and a bunch of black pepper. My roommate saw me eating it and said it looks like cat food but it's so good and cheap. Ngl it saves me money every time I skip those overpriced spots. Has anyone else here got a weird mix that people roast you for?

Used to think that sounded awful but you might be onto something here.

Has anyone else actually tried tuna with cottage cheese after hating it the first time? Because I tried it once with low fat cottage cheese and it was watery and gross so I almost gave up, but then I switched to full fat and added some chopped pickles and now I'm hooked. What's the secret for making those weird combos actually work? My sister swears by peanut butter and hot sauce on toast but I'm scared to try it.

So what is it about the full fat that makes the difference - does it just not get as runny, or is the texture totally different? I keep seeing people rave about weird combos like that and I wanna believe them but the first try always throws me off. Like your sister's peanut butter and hot sauce thing - I'd be willing to try it if I knew the exact right hot sauce to pick. Is it a smoky one or a vinegary one? Because that seems like a dealbreaker either way. Honestly I think the secret is having the right ratios and not being afraid to adjust stuff right away instead of forcing yourself to finish a bad batch.
