Spent a whole Saturday trying to figure out why my blog posts weren't ranking

I had this post about repurposing old content that I was sure would hit page one, but after 3 months it was still stuck on page 5. Turns out I forgot to update the internal links from a site migration I did back in February, so Google basically ignored the whole thing. Has anyone else had a hidden technical issue kill a piece of content for way longer than it should have?

My buddy Danny rebuilt his whole site and totally forgot to set up his redirects from the old pages, lost all his traffic for like two weeks lol.
