That's a really sharp observation about casual stories working better. A real voice cuts through the polished noise that people are used to ignoring now. It lets the actual personality of what you're doing come through.

Totally get that, but does a real voice actually cut through? Feels like polished noise just gets replaced by authentic noise sometimes. What if people ignore personality too?
