My company blog went from 200 to 2,000 monthly visits in 90 days after one dumb change
We had this blog for our small tech startup, posting about product updates and company news. The traffic was flat, maybe 200 people a month. Then our new marketing intern, fresh out of college, asked 'why are we only writing for ourselves?' She convinced us to run a simple survey asking our users what problems they were trying to solve. We took the top 5 answers and wrote guides for those exact issues. Three months later, our traffic hit 2k. It wasn't fancy SEO tools, just listening. Has anyone else seen a huge jump from just fixing who you write for?

That "writing for ourselves" trap is so easy to fall into (and I've definitely done it).

Oh man, tell me about it... @alexw75 totally called it. I've spent hours on posts that made perfect sense to me and no one else.

Wait, you said HOURS? That's wild, man. Alexw75 is right about the trap but I can't imagine spending that long on a single post. Sometimes you just gotta hit send and see what happens lol.
