I quit drafting 2000 word pillar pages for my boss in Denver and started shipping 400 word posts instead
Two years back I was cranking out massive "ultimate guides" nobody finished, and now I write short pieces that answer one question each, which got our newsletter from 600 to 3400 readers, so tell me I am wrong about long form being a vanity metric.
Is it possible the long stuff still works but only for people who already know you, like the people on your newsletter? Short posts probably pull new readers in from search and social, but the big guides might be what converts them once they already trust you. Just wondering if you threw out the whole tool when only one part of it was broken.
