I gave up on planning a full quarter of content and it helped

I mean, our team used to map out every single post for three months, but we'd always get stuck when something big happened and the plan felt wrong. So last month, we switched to a two-week rolling plan in Asana, and our engagement went up by like 15% because we could actually react to stuff. Has anyone else moved to a shorter planning cycle and found it less stressful?

That two week rolling plan sounds like the sweet spot. We tried going totally reactive but it got chaotic, no one knew what to work on. Having that short list means we can still jump on trends, like when a competitor had that product recall last week we swapped a planned post for a quick FAQ. Do you keep any bigger themes or just plan from scratch each cycle?

Keep a rough quarterly theme for direction.

We keep a loose quarterly bucket for ideas.
