Hot take: I thought 'content pillars' were just consultant jargon until my blog traffic jumped 40% in a quarter.
My boss in Chicago made me map everything to three core topics, and the consistency actually worked. Anyone else have a strategy term they doubted that paid off?

That 40% jump is wild. So @shaneb16, was your boss in Chicago super strict about only those three topics, or did you get some wiggle room for other posts? I'm trying to picture how rigid the system was.

Yeah trying to picture a system that rigid is tough. I mean, I had a foreman once who would lose his mind if you didn't stack the lumber a certain way in the truck. It wasn't about the rules being smart, it was just his thing. Makes you wonder if some bosses just get stuck on controlling the small stuff because they can.
