Had a client tell me my blog posts were too short after I cut them to 400 words for better mobile readability
She pulled up the analytics on her phone right there in the Starbucks on 5th and showed me the 80% bounce rate on her own 2,000 word posts, and then asked if I could add a recipe video to every one of mine, so now I'm wondering how you all handle clients who want more fluff instead of keeping it tight and scannable.

Client wanted more fluff" - sounds like they want a recipe for disaster, honestly. Maybe tell them you'll add a video of you dramatically reading the 400 words in slow motion.

Had a similar client last year, swapped the recipes for quick bullet lists and it worked way better.
