Did you hear about the guy who tried to pay for his wedding with those envelopes? I saw this story online where a couple used them for everything, then lost the honeymoon envelope under the car seat. Found it six months later covered in dried soda. My wife and I tried that system once but she kept stealing from the "fun money" envelope to buy fancy cheese. Now we just use a shared spreadsheet that she never updates. The envelope idea sounds nice in theory, but so does having a pet raccoon until it raides your pantry.
