The $14 line item that changed my whole grocery budget
I was going through my credit card statement last month and noticed I had spent $14 on bagged shredded cheese. That didn't sound crazy until I added up every cheese purchase across the month. It came to $61 total. I never once questioned it because each trip felt small, but the monthly total was bigger than my coffee habit. Anyone else have a tiny recurring purchase that quietly eats way more than they thought?

Is that shredded cheese secretly funding a dairy farm, or just your own personal cheese tax?

Man, I feel this so hard! @oliviat17, my shredded cheese disappears faster than my paycheck on a Friday. I swear I buy a bag and it's gone within two days, and I'm the only one eating it. My wife keeps blaming me, but I know I'm not the one sneaking handfuls at midnight. It's like the cheese has its own escape plan or something. I've started hiding it behind the pickles in the fridge, but somehow it still vanishes. I'm convinced there's a cheese fairy at this point, and she's got it out for my grocery budget.
