The $14 goodwill fridge that ate my grocery savings for 2 weeks
Found a barely working mini fridge on Facebook Marketplace for $14 back in March. Thought it would be a genius way to keep lunch stuff at my shop in Tulsa instead of eating out. Plugged it in Monday, seemed fine. Tuesday morning the compressor was louder than my truck. By Friday I noticed my yogurt was warm and my sandwich meat smelled off. Spent the next week tossing spoiled food and buying lunch every day because I kept thinking I could fix it. Total wasted money was around $60 before I dragged it to the curb. Learned my lesson about testing an appliance for more than 5 minutes before trusting it with perishables. Anyone else get burned by a too good to be true bargain?
