Stopped buying coffee on the way to work after a chat with my neighbor
I was walking out to my car last Tuesday and my neighbor, Frank, asked if I wanted his old french press. He said he spent about $75 a month on coffee shops before he switched. I took it, started making my own, and now I'm putting that cash straight into my car repair fund. Anyone else cut out a small daily spend that added up faster than you thought?

But is saving that coffee money really life changing? Sounds like @gonzalez.reese might be overthinking the lunch thing too.

Man, it's wild how those little habits bleed money. I see it with lunch runs at my office. A couple coworkers grab takeout every single day, easily $15 a pop. That's a phone bill by the end of the month. Same thing with vending machine snacks. Buying a pack at the store is so much cheaper, but you just don't think about it in the moment.

My buddy tracked his coffee shop stops for a month and the total was honestly scary.
