Shoutout to the library app that saved me $80 on cookbooks
I was at the downtown library in Portland last month browsing the sale rack when a librarian showed me their free app with thousands of e-cookbooks. I used to drop $15-20 a month on cookbooks I'd read once, and now I've saved about $80 in 6 weeks. Has anyone else found a solid free resource that killed a random budget leak?

I'm going to push back a little here. I actually prefer owning cookbooks because I write notes in the margins and dog ear the pages I use most. @the_jenny you mentioned Libby but those digital books expire and you lose your place. Plus supporting authors directly is worth the money for me.

omg yes the library app is a lifesaver lol i used to spend so much on cookbooks and then never make half the stuff. i signed up for libby last year and it's wild how many i can borrow at once. i'd been dropping like $40 a month on impulse buys from amazon, and now i just browse for free. it's crazy how fast those little expenses add up before you notice.
